Junior Programme

For: Ages 8 to 15 years

Times:
Saturday 9am to 11am (Novice)

Saturday 11am to 1pm (Past Experience)

Cost: $225 for ten 2 hour classes

 

During this 10 week Programme, students are introduced to a very dynamic art form: the theatre. Students will strengthen their powers of concentration, explore their imaginations and creative powers, achieve a higher level of self-confidence and self-discipline, and expand their ability to communicate with others.


Attention focuses on: Improvisation, voice work, movement, theatre games and creative self expression.

 

 

Senior Programme


For: Ages 16 years & older

Time: Saturday 9am to 11am (Novice),

Saturday 11am to 1pm (Past Experience)

Cost: $250 for ten 2 hour classes


This course has been carefully developed to appeal to those who are involved in a theatre arts Programme or school drama club, those who are exploring their interest in theatre for the first time and to those who are seriously interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts.


Attention Focuses on: Improvisation, Text Study, Vocal Training, Character Development, Stage Movement, Acting Styles and Technique & Stagecraft.

March Break Programme

 

Junior Programme


For: Ages 8 to 14 years

Time: Daily, 9am to 4pm

Cost: $225

 


Students will strengthen their powers of concentration, explore their imagination and creativity, develop a higher level of self-confidence, self-discipline and communication through drama.

Summer Programme

 

Junior Programme


For: Ages 8 to 14 years


During the 3 week Programme, students are introduced to a very dynamic art form: the theatre! Grouped according to age, students will strengthen their powers of concentration, explore their imaginations and creative powers, achieve a higher level of self-confidence and self-discipline, and expand their ability to communicate with others.


Attention is focused on: Improvisation, Dance, Stage Movement, Vocal Training, Theatre Games, Singing, Creative self-expression & Character and script development.


Public Presentation: Parents are invited to see their children participate in a series of special dramatic activities at the end of each session. These presentations are held on the Mainstage (the Irving Zucker Auditorium).

 

 

Senior Programme


For: Ages 15 years & older


Training: Senior students will work with professionals during this 8 week Programme. They will receive instruction in all practical aspects of theatre as an art form. This course has been carefully developed to appeal to: those who are involved in a theatre arts Programme or school drama club, those who are exploring their interest in theatre for the first time, those who are seriously interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts.


The senior Programme could deal with mature subject matter in a process that is both challenging and artistic, and because of this possibility, participants must be at least entering grade 10. A highly demanding Programme, both physically & mentally, all students must participate fully in each and every activity without exception.


Attention Focuses on: Improvisation, Text Study, Vocal Training, Musical Theatre Training, Singing, Character Development, Dance, Stage Movement, Acting Styles and Technique, Stagecraft, Costume & Set Design


Performance: Production and stage experience are an integral part of the Senior Programme. All students participate in our full-scale Broadway Musical public presentation.
