Etiquette

Smoking

Theatre Aquarius is a smoke-free environment, including all forms of “E-Cigarettes”.

Scents

As a courtesy to those who express sensitivity to fragrances, we respectfully request that all patrons consider their fellow theatre-goers before using perfumes, after-shave and other personal care products.

Candy

The crackling sound when opening cellophane wrapped candy during the performance is highly disruptive, please consider your fellow patrons.

Children/Babes in Arms

Babes in arms or children under the age of two (2) are not permitted in the theatre. Children older than two (2) should be able to sit quietly in their own seats throughout a performance. If you are in doubt about bringing a child to any particular production, please ask before buying tickets. Please be aware that if you do bring a young child and that child creates any disturbance, you may be asked to leave the auditorium. Parents are reminded that most live, professional theatre – unless specifically advertised as being for children or “for the whole family” – is intended as adult entertainment and may not be enjoyed by, or be suitable for, children.

Photographs and Audio and Video Recording

The taking of photographs or audio or video recordings of any kind within the auditorium for any reason is strictly forbidden. It is a distraction to the performers and can create safety hazards. Such recordings also violate performance contracts, design contracts and copyright agreements with rights holders. As such Theatre Aquarius reserves the right to seize any such recording device that has been used within the theatre and erase any offending data.

Cellphones and Pagers

Patrons are requested to turn off all cellphones, pagers and electronic devices prior to the performance. Patrons who do not do so, or who are texting or making use of other electronic communications during the performance may be asked to leave.

Latecomers

Seating latecomers is disruptive to both performers and audience members. Out of consideration to other patrons and performers, latecomers will be seated at a suitable break and at the discretion of the house manager.
