COVID-19 UPDATES

As per Ontario provincial government order, Theatre Aquarius, including our box office, will be closed for the immediate future. We look forward to happier days ahead, when we can once again come together in celebration and share in the magic that only live theatre can offer.

In the meantime be safe and be well.

We are thrilled to announce that we have been able to save the run of Ring Of Fire by moving the run to new dates, just prior to the launch of next season’s shows. The complete run of Ring Of Fire has been moved, intact, to August 19 – September 5, 2020.

All show dates and tickets held have been transferred to equivalent dates within this adjusted schedule, and new tickets will be printed and mailed to ticket holders. There is no need for action at this time.

Theatre School Spring Term Canceled

Dear Friends and Families,

Theatre Aquarius regrets to announce that the Spring Term theatre school classes, which were scheduled to begin the week of March 28th, have been cancelled, due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19. We know that each of you has experienced many such disappointments in recent days, however we trust that these precautions will be remembered as small sacrifices that made a great impact for the health and welfare of our Theatre School family, and our entire community as a whole.

As a reminder of brighter days ahead, we are pleased to inform you that registrations for our Summer Camp programming continues uninterrupted, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

A Belly Full Cancelled

Theatre Aquarius regrets to announce that the remaining performances of A Belly Full will be cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19. We apologize for the rapid changes to this information, and know that many of you have been in recent communication with the theatre, and received the best information we had at the time.

At the time of writing, the assessment of Public Health Agency of Canada remains that the threat level to the general population is low. However, as a preventative measure, Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s chief medical officer has requested that assemblies of more than 250 be cancelled or postponed. With the health and welfare of our patrons at issue, Theatre Aquarius feels we have no choice but to comply with this mandate.

This situation will have significant impact on a not-for-profit charitable organization like Theatre Aquarius, and if patrons were kind enough to consider making the value of their show tickets a charitable donation to the theatre, it would be of the greatest assistance in this difficult time, and we would be pleased to issue a tax receipt in the appropriate amount.

Ticket holders for cancelled performances of A Belly Full should make contact with the Theatre Aquarius box office (905.522.7529 or toll free at 1.800.465.7529) over the coming days and weeks to make suitable arrangements. Please be patient with our extraordinary staff as they cope with higher than normal call volume.

We deeply regret this disruption to your plans, and we are deeply saddened to have lost performances of this wonderful play, and the work of our marvelous theatre artists. We hope you will understand that these difficult steps are taken in order to protect all members of our theatre community.

Ring of Fire Schedule Change

Many of you are also ticketholders for Ring of Fire: The Johnny Cash Musical, and we can tell you that we are in the process of re-scheduling that entire production, out of an abundance of caution, for the health, safety and comfort of our patrons and the artists and technicians we employ. More information will follow as soon as it is available, but we wish to assure all ticketholders for Ring of Fire that your tickets will be honoured within the adjusted schedule, and that complete information will be shared with you as soon as possible.
