We are thrilled to open the Theatre Aquarius doors to welcome students (ages 9 to 19) back for live in-person classes!

Our classes are led by experienced, professional theatre artist instructors. Please note that all in-person classes are held at Theatre Aquarius at 190 King William Street. 

The health and safety of our students, faculty and remain our top priority.  Class sizes are limited as a COVID-19 safety measure.  Please see the Theatre Aquarius Theatre School COVID-19 Protocols below for more details.

ACTING Ages 9 – 11

 

Let’s get back together and develop theatre skills through play. Each class will include warmup, theatre exercises and games, creation and performance. Practice body and vocal awareness, expression, and collaboration. Create your own character and work together to explore physical group storytelling. In this fun play-based class, you can build confidence, foster teamwork, and nurture creativity. See COVID-19 Protocols below.

Details: Saturdays, October 30 – December 4. 10:00am – 12:00pm

Fee: $195

ACTING Ages 12 – 14

 

Develop theatre skills through play. Train in performance and theatre technique, including physical and text work, body and vocal awareness, expression, and collaboration. Each class will include warmup, theatre exercises and games, creation and performance.  Build confidence, foster teamwork, and nurture creativity, through challenging and fun classes. See COVID-19 Protocols below.

Details: In person, Saturdays, October 30 – December 4. 10:30am to 12:30pm.
*Proof of Vaccination required

Fee: $195 

ACTING Ages 14 – 19

 

Dive into drama games and exercises, including improv, physical and text work. Using scripts, break down and analyze text, develop individual characters, create a physical world and connect with scene partners. Practice technique, voice and movement, scene study, and ensemble. See COVID-19 Protocols below.

Details: In person, Wednesdays, October 27 – December 1. 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Fee: $195 (+HST for 15+) 

ACTING for Adults

 

Develop the artist within, engage your creativity, sharpen your performance skills, learn new techniques and build ensemble. Classes are responsive to the participant’s experience and skill level. Each term we investigate a different play.

Details: In-person, Saturdays, October 30 – December 4. 12:30pm to 2:00pm.

Fee: $220

Theatre Aquarius Theatre School COVID-19 Protocols

We are delighted to welcome our students back in-person to the Theatre Aquarius Theatre School! The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

We want your child’s experience to be safe and comfortable. Please note that all Theatre Aquarius staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated. Protecting each other from COVID-19 is everyone’s responsibility. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

PROOF OF VACCINATION

All instructors are double vaccinated.

Students 12+ must be double vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the start of class. Please have Proof of Vaccination ready on the first day of classes. Anyone 12+ without Proof of Vaccination will not be allowed in the building. (Medical exemptions will require a healthcare provider’s note and a negative COVID-19 text within 72 hours).

Proof of Vaccination will be checked on the first morning of classes outside.

Any adults entering the building must show Proof of Vaccination.

MASK WEARING

Masks will be worn at all times by all staff and participants (except when eating or drinking).

COVID-19 SCREENING

COVID-19 Screening will be required by all staff and students before entering the building.

CLASS SIZE AND SCHEDULING

To help ensure our classes are as safe as possible we have limited all class sizes.
Classes are scheduled to allow for sign-in, enhanced safety protocols, and ordered departure.

ENTERING AND LEAVING

Participants must enter and exit immediately before and after their class.
Students will enter through the Box Office doors, await clearance and proceed directly to their class location.
Students will exit only through the Studio Theatre door.

WASHROOM

One gender neutral single-stall washroom will be open.

PICKING UP YOUR CHILD

Parents will not be able to wait inside during class.
