Dear families and students of Theatre Aquarius Theatre School,

Your teaching team wishes to let you know how much we all miss our time together!!!

I have been thinking alot about this isolation we are experiencing and what it means to the theatre and to the work we do. At first it seems as though it is the opposite of everything we have worked on! We have always put a strong focus on connecting, working together, and physicalizing our ideas- but now we are alone, in our homes. Then I realized, the social distancing that we are all participating in across the country and in many parts of the world, is in fact, an incredible effort of ensemble. It is the ultimate team work! And so I have had some comfort knowing that the principles that are fundamental to our work and learning together, are needed and applicable in this time.

We will come back together in a room to share our stories, to develop our ideas, to explore text and character, and as always create through teamwork and ensemble.

In the meantime, we have collected a few theatre resources for you to explore. If you have time, start a dance party with your family! Read a play! And remember we are all working together.
