Programs for Kids, Teens, and Adults

Fall 2020 programs will be held online to ensure the safety of all families and artists. We are responsive and will resume in-person classes as soon as we can.

Welcome to Theatre Aquarius Digital Theatre School!

We have wonderful new programs for you to choose from, all developed to navigate the digital space, and to be enjoyed safely at home.

We are ready and excited to return to in-person classes as soon as we are able to. In the meantime, join us for creative and skill building programs. We can’t wait to see you and to start to play!

Story Time with Mermaid Melissa Workshops

(ages 4-7) Play drama games and create a story with friends!

We’re Making a Music Video!!!

Drama (ages 8-11) | (ages 12-15)

October 31 – December 12, 2020

Saturdays: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

10 online sessions. Work with a drama teacher to create characters and devise an original band with friends. The band will work with a composer to write a song and a choreographer to develop and practice our dance moves! We will rehearse and record our music video, all put together by a videographer! For a final presentation, we will live stream as our characters and share our music video with our friends and family via zoom! Each participant will receive a copy of the video to share! All skill levels welcome. You can come to play, learn, develop skills, create, meet new friends and have fun!

TIK TOK teens

ages 13-19

November 4 – December 9, 2020

Wednesdays: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Got 15 seconds? We’re going to collaborate and create story in 15/ 60 second segments. With a drama instructor we will create character and story. With a composer we will create music. With a choreographer we will create some moves. Then we’re going to share on TIK TOK.

Scene Study and Text Analysis

Teens

November 7 – December 12, 2020

Saturdays: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Work in small groups to explore, expand and develop character, objective, and acting fundamentals through scene study. Discuss text, context and subtext. Learn how to notate your script with professional actor tools and techniques. Option to share performance work via social media.

*Requires some outside class reading.

Play and Scene Study

Adults

October 31 – December 19, 2020

Saturdays: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Deep dive into drama with a great play. Work in small groups to explore, expand and develop character, objective, and acting fundamentals through scene study. Discuss text, context and subtext.

Musical Theatre Dance Class with Ms. Amanda

ages 10+, Teens, Adults

November 4 – December 9, 2020

Wednesdays: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Have FUN with dance! All or no experience levels welcome. Push the couch out of the way and make room in your living room to sing along to your favourite show tunes, while Ms. Amanda leads you through choreography! Great way to get moving!

Family Dance Party

All Ages

November 7, 21, December 5, 2020

Saturdays: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Musical Theatre Sing Along and Dance-a-thon! Round up your bubble and get in on this FUN night of moving and singing! Ask your friends to zoom in too! Create your own moves, follow the lead of pro artists, and let loose! *DIY theme costumes (whatever you have in your closet!) will be encouraged.
