We’re using our creativity in new ways to develop engaging digital programs that maximize fun and learning from the safety and comfort of your home during the pandemic.

All our classes are led by experienced, professional theatre artist instructors. Classes are limited in size to ensure individual attention.

Accessing the Theatre Aquarius School digital programs is easy.
Our classes are offered on Zoom. All you need is a tablet, smartphone, or laptop with video and audio capabilities, and strong internet connection.

Youth Drama

Session 1: Document THIS! Back by popular demand! JULY 5 – 9, 2021

A tale of a neighbourhood, a space station, a fantastical kingdom – it is up to you and your friends! Collaborate with your peers to build a story in a docudrama style. Populate your story with characters of your own creation. Through interviews, monologues, and scenes, your digital play will come to life! The final presentation will be live-streamed to Theatre Aquarius School YouTube channel and shared with friends and family!

Session 2: Here’s What REALLY Happened… July 19 – 23, 2021
Maybe Jack and the Beanstalk was the CEO of a mega-corp? Or maybe Goldilocks is locked up for her crimes against the bears? Together with your peers, you will choose a well-known story or stories to reimagine, re-write, and re-create! Participants will create their own characters, story and script, and rehearse a play in a week! The final presentation will be live-streamed to the Hamilton Fringe Festival!

Details: On Zoom, Ages 8 – 13, 10:00am – 12:00pm. Fee: $140

Teen Drama

 

Get creative with friends, develop your drama and acting skills, and share your work. 

Abandoned at birth and raised by bears, Atalanta sails with Jason and the Argonauts and becomes one of the fiercest heroines in Greek mythology. 

Using this story as a leaping off point, the ensemble will use pieces of script and create their own writing, develop characters, and bring their interpretation to life, in a digital play. The final presentation will be Live Streamed to the Hamilton Fringe Festival!

Details: On Zoom, Ages 13-17, July 12 – 23 Monday to Friday. 12:00pm to 1:30pm. 

Fee: $240 (plus HST for ages 15+)

Theatre Aquarius provides one-to-one coaching for youth and adults. Build confidence and skills with Theatre Aquarius professional faculty, in your own private session.

Coaching in: 

  • Audition or Self Tape prep
  • Public Speaking
