Teresa is a writer, actor and producer with over 30 years experience working in theatre, film and television. She began her career as a member of The Second City Toronto during which time she wrote and performed three award winning shows. Her first two plays, Dumplings And Death and Hot August Night have been produced in Toronto and New York. After Second City, she wrote and starred in her own half-hour TV special, As I Was Saying, for The Comedy Network in Canada. Teresa was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Improviser. Her TV and film credits include My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, American Gothic, the FX series Mrs. America, Y: The Last Man and Accused. She has a recurring role in the new FOX series, DOC and the final season of the hit CBC show, Workin’ Moms.
Teresa wrote, produced and starred in two seasons of her original series, The Jane Show, for Global Television. She was nominated for a Writer’s Guild Award for an episode she wrote as well as a CSA Award for her performance. Teresa was a writer and consulting producer on the Emmy winning series, Schitt’s Creek. She has spent the last few years on TV series in development with various streamers and networks. She is currently working on a new series of her own as well as consulting on several other TV projects. Teresa is also a member of the ground breaking all female comedy troupe, Women Fully Clothed, they have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Just For Laughs, Massey Hall and The Wintergarden Theatre.
