The Theatre Aquarius Apprenticeship Program offers professional development opportunities for emerging IBPOC and/or female identifying individuals to be mentored in the field of their choosing including stage management, directing or technical production (props, wardrobe, lighting, sound, set building or scenic painting).

We are currently recruiting apprentices for the 2026/27 season, running from September 2026 through June 2027. Apprenticeships will be production-specific, with placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks in length. All apprenticeships are paid opportunities.

With a strong emphasis on mentorship and career development, apprentices will work alongside Theatre Aquarius’ accomplished directors, designers, and production teams, gaining valuable insight into the creative and technical processes that bring our productions to life. Depending on the discipline, apprentices may participate in hands-on work within their field or take on a primarily observational role.
