Lauren Mayer is a Toronto-based Jewish performer, songwriter, and music educator whose work spans theatre, live music, and recording. Her artistic practice is rooted in collaboration, storytelling, and music-driven performance, shaped by her cultural identity and years of experience across stage and studio.

She holds a Master’s degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, as well as a diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from Randolph College for the Performing Arts. Lauren has performed in a range of theatrical productions, including Hedwig and the Angry InchThe Addams FamilyJesus Christ SuperstarInto the Woods, and Urinetown, and has appeared in cabaret performances and commercial work. She is also an active recording artist, having released original EPs and collaborated on various music projects as a vocalist, songwriter, and co-producer.

An experienced and dynamic vocalist and versatile multi-instrumentalist, Lauren plays guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass, and brings songwriting and music production into much of her creative process. In addition to her performance career, she works as a music educator and facilitator, supporting artists in developing their creative voice, building confidence, and exploring storytelling through music.
