Carly Billings

Workshop Leader/Program Coordinator

Carly Anna Billings (she/her) is an Italian and Ojibwe theatre-maker, actor, comedian, singer and podcaster.

She is always grateful to get to play and explore on the traditional lands of her people the Mississaugas of the Credit.

Her performing career has brought her to live audiences from Prince Edward Island to the Okanagan to New York City and back again. She believes laughter and joy are the foundation for a healthy and creative arts practice; they’re the best medicine.

An improviser and comedian, she has performed on The Second City Toronto Mainstage and is premiering a new work of hers at the Ottawa, Hamilton and Edinburgh Fringes this summer.

As a facilitator, she has worked with local youth in arts expression at Under the Willows, with community organizations like Open Heart Arts and as a graduate studies-level guest artist at McMaster. Her third season in leadership at Biindigen, she couldn’t be prouder of these new works by these incredible artists!
