Brooke Mitchell (she/they) is a queer (LESBIAN!) emerging theatre artist born and raised in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and now based in Tkaronto. Brooke moved to Ontario to pursue a performing arts career and has just completed her final year at Sheridan’s music theatre program. Her final season of Theatre Sheridan performances showcased her versatility as a performer: from Alice in Bad Hats’ Alice in Wonderland, to Maria in Mr. Burns, a post-electric play directed by Mitchell Cushman, and a heavy metal-singing Zombie Fish in a first draft workshop of the new musical Red Tide by Nam Nguyen and Wilfred Moeschter. Also an opera performer, this summer Brooke has the unique privilege of singing one of their dream roles – the Queen of the Night in No Strings Theatre’s production of The Magic Flute. Outside of performing, Brooke loves to write, compose, devise, and all around just make stuff! Socials: @brookelmitchell on Instagram and YouTube!
