Finbar Wall is a singer-songwriter from Hamilton, Ont, known primarily as founder and frontman of the folk-rock band, The Commune. Finbar’s plainspoken lyricism, which tackles addiction, politics, faith, love, cars and Hamilton complements the street-level rock’n’roll of The Commune. As a student of Political Philosophy and Ethics, Wall strives to follow the folk traditions of Woody Guthrie, Odetta, Joe Strummer and Billy Bragg, by enacting social change through music and organizing. Both as a solo artist and band leader, Finbar Wall & The Commune have built a reputation as one the most promising, young live-acts to come out of Hamilton in the last decade. The Commune continue to play, both locally and anywhere 4 wheels can get them. They followed up 2023’s ‘Juma-EP’ with their second independent release and first full length album, ‘The Fall,’ with a second LP to be expected in 2026.
