Mike Wark

Toronto-based saxophonist and woodwind specialist Mike Wark maintains a busy freelance career working across multiple genres in the diverse Southern-Ontario music scene.  He has worked with the likes of NOJO and Gary Morgan’s PanAmericana Ensemble, orchestra settings such as Niagara Symphony Orchestra, Casa Loma Orchestra, and Shaw Festival Theatre, and on pop stages with The Tenors, children’s entertainer Fred Penner, and celebrity personality Hugh Jackman.  Mike is also a composer/arranger, a recording session musician, and is heavily involved in music education as a private lesson instructor and founder of the Toronto Jazz Explorers program which focuses on community-learning Jazz ensembles for adults.  Mike has a B.Mus in Jazz Studies from Humber College and a M.Mus in Jazz Performance from University of Toronto.
