Valerie is an award-winning director, actor, and arts educator with over 35 years’ experience on Stage and in Film and Television across Canada and the US. She is of Metis, French and European heritage.

She was recently seen as June in Where the Blood Mixes for Soulpepper Theatre, and Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest for Theatre Calgary. As a director, Steel Magnolias at Theatre Calgary was her last exploration. She has been honored with awards such as Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards, Betty Mitchell Awards, the Flare and Michelle Dias Awards from Theatre Alberta, and the Gina Wilkinson Prize from the Shaw Festival in 2015.

Next up, Valerie is directing the comedy Cottagers and Indians for Lunchbox Theatre.
